Job Title : Purchasing Engineer
Report to : Purchasing Supervisor / Purchasing Manager
Location : Jakarta

Key Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end purchasing activities, including RFQ preparation, quotation evaluation, supplier negotiation, Purchase Order issuance, and delivery follow-up.
- Procure valves, fittings, instrumentation, control systems, piping materials, and other industrial engineering products in accordance with engineering specifications, project requirements, and company standards.
- Review technical specifications, drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), and material requirements to ensure procurement accuracy.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Sales, Project, Warehouse, Logistics, Finance, and other related departments to ensure procurement activities are completed within the required timeline.
- Source and evaluate local and international suppliers to achieve competitive pricing, quality, and lead time.
- Monitor supplier delivery schedules and ensure on-time delivery to support operational and project execution.
- Support import purchasing activities, including coordination with freight forwarders, shipping documentation, Incoterms, customs clearance, and logistics arrangements when applicable.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier quotations, Purchase Orders, and ERP transactions.
- Support supplier performance evaluation, alternative sourcing, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with procurement SOPs, company policies, internal control systems, anti-fraud policies, and applicable regulations.

Key Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineerin, or other related Engineering disciplines
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Purchasing or Procurement, preferably in industrial manufacturing, engineering, oil & gas, EPC, or valve distribution industries.
- Strong technical understanding of industrial products such as valves, fittings, instrumentation, control systems, piping materials, actuators, and related mechanical products.
- Experience in handling local procurement; experience in import procurement will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of supplier negotiation, quotation analysis, procurement documentation, and purchasing processes.
- Basic knowledge of Incoterms, import procedures, customs documentation, and international logistics is preferred.
- Familiar with ERP systems with advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and reporting analysis.
- Good analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills and able to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement requests simultaneously.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
